Student Transcript Request
Student Transcript are only available if the
- private post-secondary institution was located in New Mexico and is now closed and if
- the New Mexico Higher Education Department is the designated custodian of records
Please check for these two conditions () before proceeding.
If incomplete student records were received by our Department from the closing school, our Department might not be able to fulfill the transcript request. Transcript fees are non-refundable regardless of request fulfillment. It might take up to 10 business days to process your request once payment has been received.
Important Update Regarding all Transcript Requests due to COVID-19 – Effective 3/19/20
Due to resource changes relating to COVID-19 the New Mexico Higher Education Department will not be sending transcripts via regular mail until further notice. Transcripts will be sent in PDF format via Firefox Send. More information about Firefox Send is available here: https://hed.state.nm.us/data-reports/sharing-data.
Please note, when the transcripts are sent, they are to be accessed using a time sensitive link. Any files that the receiver wishes to keep should be downloaded before the link expires. Note, you will not need to create a Firefox Send account to access and download the files.
The fee for all requests is $15.00 and will cover delivery of a transcript to any recipient(s) included on the signed Student Consent Form uploaded with the application. The Student Consent Form must include the name, mailing address and email address for the recipient(s).
